Recreation Passes

Annual and regional passes for public land access

Recreation passes cover entrance fees and trailhead parking at federal sites. The interagency pass is the best value if you visit multiple agencies, but some regions have their own required passes for trailhead access.

  • America the Beautiful Pass Web — annual interagency pass ($80/year) covering entrance fees at all NPS, USFS, BLM, USFWS, and Bureau of Reclamation sites. Free for military, disabled veterans, fourth graders (Every Kid Outdoors), and seniors ($20 lifetime).
  • Northwest Forest Pass Web — required for trailhead parking at many USFS sites in Oregon and Washington.
