Resources
Curated references for trip planning, weather, emergency contacts, and field tools. Everything in one place so you are not searching five different sites before a trip.
This is not an exhaustive list, but a collection of trustworthy resources that TrekFreely uses whenever planning trips into the backcountry. The goal is to help you do the research yourself and build the skills that go with it — not to hand you a pre-packaged answer.
Use the sidebar to jump to a specific category, or browse the summaries below. If you think something is missing that should be here, let us know.
Regional note: Many of the resources listed here—links, contact directories, agency references—are currently geared towards the United States. We are working on expanding coverage to other regions. The tools section (unit converter, radio tools, etc.) is designed to work for you no matter where you are in the world.
